Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all services provided by PCG Experts (“PCG Experts”, “we”, “our”, “us”). By making a booking, requesting a quote, making payment, or allowing work to begin, you (“the Customer”) agree to these Terms.

Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

1. Our Services

PCG Experts provides:

  • General Pest Control
  • Carpet Cleaning
  • Tile & Grout Cleaning

Services are delivered either directly by PCG Experts or through qualified contractors engaged by us.

2. Australian Consumer Law (ACL)

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the ACL. These Terms do not override or reduce your statutory rights.

3. Customer Responsibilities

To ensure smooth service delivery, you confirm that you:

  • Are the property owner, occupier, or have authority to approve the work.
  • Provide safe, clear, and legal access to the work areas.
  • Remove fragile, valuable, or sensitive items before service begins.
  • Inform us of any known hazards, prior damage, or site-specific concerns.
  • For regulated services (such as pest control), request and verify the attending technician’s photo ID and relevant licence before work starts. Licence details can be provided upon request.

Failure to meet these responsibilities may affect service outcomes or void any re-service offers.

4. General Service Limitations

While we take reasonable care and apply industry standards, some services carry inherent risks. Outcomes depend on factors such as material condition, age, prior treatments, hygiene levels, ventilation, and environmental conditions.

PCG Experts is not responsible for:

  • Pre-existing damage or hidden defects.
  • Deterioration due to age, wear, or poor prior maintenance.
  • Indirect or consequential losses.
  • Issues arising from failure to follow after-care instructions.
5. Carpet Cleaning Terms

Carpet cleaning is provided on a best-effort basis.

Customers acknowledge that:

  • Some stains, marks, or odours may be permanent.
  • Certain fibres may shrink, stretch, fade, or react unpredictably to moisture or cleaning agents.
  • Pre-existing weaknesses may become more visible after cleaning.
  • Stains or odours may reappear due to wicking or deep contamination.
  • Drying times vary depending on airflow, humidity, carpet type, and weather.

We cannot guarantee complete stain removal or specific drying times.

6. Tile & Grout Cleaning Terms

Tile and grout cleaning aims to improve surface appearance but does not restore tiles or grout to brand-new condition.

Customers understand that:

  • Permanent staining, discolouration, or grout erosion may remain.
  • Cracked, loose, or hollow tiles may shift during cleaning.
  • Sealing (if requested) provides surface protection but not permanent stain prevention.
  • Previously damaged grout may deteriorate further during the cleaning process.

PCG Experts is not liable for failure of aged grout, loose tiles, or hidden structural issues.

7. Pest Control Terms

Pest control treatments are limited to the pests and areas specified in your booking.

Important conditions:

  • Results depend on hygiene, building condition, neighbouring infestations, and environmental factors.
  • No guarantee of permanent eradication is provided.
  • Some pests (including termites, rodents, German cockroaches, and bedbugs) may require specialised or ongoing treatment programs.
  • Structural repairs, pest-proofing, or building works are not included unless agreed in writing.
  • Customers must follow all pre-treatment and after-care instructions provided. Failure to do so may void any complimentary re-treatment offer (if applicable).
  • Customers must follow all safety advice, including vacating premises where required and ensuring pets are protected.

Pest services are intended to be carried out by licensed technicians. PCG Experts does not authorise unlicensed or unlawful work.

8. Access to Roofs, Ceilings & Subfloors

Where service requires access to roof cavities, ceilings, or subfloor areas, customers acknowledge:

  • These areas may contain age-related weaknesses or hidden defects.
  • There is a risk of cracking, breakage, or structural impact even when reasonable care is taken.
  • Such damage may occur due to the condition of the structure rather than technician handling.

PCG Experts is not responsible for damage resulting from pre-existing structural weaknesses.

9. Contractors & Licensing

We may engage independent contractors to deliver services.

  • PCG Experts remains the service supplier under the ACL.
  • Contractors must hold relevant licences and insurances where required.
  • Any unlawful or unauthorised actions performed without our knowledge or approval are outside our responsibility and may result in personal liability for the individual involved.
10. Damage & Unauthorised Work

We are not liable for:

  • Damage caused by undisclosed conditions.
  • Issues resulting from ignoring provided instructions.
  • Work arranged independently by the Customer without our written approval.
  • Any modifications or repairs carried out by third parties after our service.
11. Cancellations & Call-Out Fees
  • At least 24 hours’ notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling.
  • Same-day cancellations, lack of access, or unprepared sites may result in a call-out fee.
  • If technicians arrive and cannot proceed due to site conditions, charges may apply.
12. Payment Terms
  • Payment is due upon completion of service unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • Overdue invoices may incur interest and recovery costs.
  • We reserve the right to suspend future services for unpaid accounts.
13. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for delays or service disruptions caused by events beyond our control, including severe weather, emergencies, illness, supply shortages, or government restrictions.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State or Territory in which the service is provided. Any disputes will be handled within the courts of that jurisdiction.
